If you choose to login/signup to Captionfy, you agree to use Google's authentication (Sign in with Google), and we store your email and username.
Captionfy offers a premium service allowing users to connect their YouTube account to publish subtitles. This process requires going through Google's authorization process.
Any content you create within Captionfy is stored in our databases. You can choose to keep your content private, or make it public for other users to view.
Captionfy uses Plausible, a privacy-friendly web analytics platform that doesn't use cookies or collect personal data. Captionfy only uses cookies for authentication and authorization, without collecting device information.
Captionfy allows users to create content, such as user profiles, subtitles, and comments. We store this information to offer our services. Your data is only used within Captionfy and may be shown to the community unless you choose to keep it private.
Captionfy uses YouTube API Services to display embedded videos and fetch general video information. If you opt to use the premium service, we connect your YouTube account to publish subtitles.

If you choose, you can revoke Captionfy's access to your data on YouTube through the Google Security Settings page. Revoking access may limit our ability to provide services.
To delete your account, go to your profile, click the top-right button, and select "Delete Account." You can also contact us to remove other data from the platform.
